What we know
Dundee United sought to sign Falkirk defensive midfielder Brad Spencer. The player has a contract that runs until May 2028.
Several reports suggest the move involved six-figure offers during the summer window as the club looked to strengthen. The interest surfaced on 26 Aug, when The Courier and Daily Record reported a six-figure bid. BBC Sport followed on 27 Aug, stating Falkirk had rejected three offers and suggesting the club should be "embarrassed" by the valuation.
On 10 Oct, Falkirk Herald reported manager John McGlynn branded the bids "embarrassing," while MSN noted chief executive Jamie Swinney called the five-figure offers "derisory."
