Terms of use
Last updated 24 October 2026. By using TransfersLens you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site.
Who we are
TransfersLens is run by the operator named on the about page.
It is independent: it is not connected to any club, player, agent, league, broadcaster or media outlet it writes about.
What TransfersLens is, and is not
- It reports on rumours, not on facts. A dossier shows what outlets have published about a possible transfer, how reliable each source has been, and a score for how well the rumour is supported. A high score is not a promise that a transfer will happen, and a low one is not proof that it will not.
- It is not advice. Nothing here is betting, investment, legal or financial advice, and we do not take bets.
- Advertising. The site may carry advertising, sponsorships and affiliate links. Anything paid is labelled as such and never changes a dossier, its evidence score or what we say about a source. When the site uses advertising or measurement tools, the privacy policy says which ones and what they collect.
- Player and club data (contracts, transfers, squads) comes from public football databases and may be incomplete or late; check it before relying on it.
Accounts
You can read everything without an account. An account is for people aged 16 or older. Give true details, keep your sign-in secure and use one account per person. We may suspend or delete an account that is used to abuse the site or other people, or to get round the limits on submissions. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account page. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
Suggesting sources
The form to suggest a source takes the address of a published article or an outlet. Send only addresses of material that is public. Do not send anything unlawful, defamatory or abusive, anyone's private information, or material you have no right to share, and do not use the form to send spam, to test the system with junk, or to try to manipulate a dossier. We read the address ourselves with our own checks, decide whether and how to use it, and may refuse it without giving a reason. Suggesting a source gives you no payment and no right over the result. You allow us to use the address and what is public at it, and your suggestion, to run and improve the service.
Our texts, and other people's material
- The texts, scores, structure and design of TransfersLens are ours or our licensors'. You may link to any page, share it, and quote a short passage with a link back. Do not copy the site or republish its dossiers as your own.
- Where a page shows part of an article, it is a short quotation, named and linked to its source, to report on it and to check it. The articles, and the names, crests and logos of clubs, leagues, outlets and journalists, belong to their owners, who are not connected with us and have not endorsed us.
- The photographs of players come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under the free licence each author chose (CC0, public domain, CC BY or CC BY-SA). We resize them and crop them to a square, and a cropped copy keeps the licence of the original. Each photo is credited with its author, licence and a link on the player's page, and every credit is listed on the photo credits page. A player without a free photograph shows his initials. Club badges are drawn by us from each club's colours and initials (they are not the clubs' crests), and country flags are from the open-source flag-icons set (MIT licence).
- Our embeddable cards and the RSS feed may be used by anyone to point readers to our pages, as they are, with their links. Do not use them to mislead readers about who wrote what, and do not automate heavy reading of the site: it is rate-limited, and we may block traffic that harms it.
If you believe something on the site infringes your rights or your privacy, or is wrong, see how to tell us.
Links to other sites
Dossiers link to the articles they are about. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for what they contain or how they handle your data, and linking is not an endorsement.
Availability and changes
We try to keep the site running and accurate but give no guarantee that it will always be available or free of mistakes. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it, and we may change these terms; the date above shows the last change, and if you have an account we tell you of changes that matter.
Our responsibility
The site is provided as it is. Nothing in these terms limits what the law does not allow us to limit, including your rights as a consumer and any liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or that cannot be excluded by law. Within those limits, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on a rumour, a score or a summary published here, or from material on other sites, and our total responsibility for any claim connected with the site is limited to what the law allows.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, with disputes going to the courts of Ceuta. If you use the site as a consumer, you keep any rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and these terms do not take them away.
