Lucas Erik Holger Bergvall, born on 2 February 2006, operates as a central midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur. He stands 187 cm tall, favours his right foot, and is tied to the club until 30 June 2031 after a contract extension signed in September 2026.
His height gives him an advantage in aerial duels, while his right‑footed technique allows clean distribution from deep positions. A solid physical presence combines with a tidy first touch, letting him progress the ball under pressure and occasionally arrive late in the box.
Bergvall came through the IF Brommapojkarna academy, breaking into the senior side in July 2022 before a €900 k move to Djurgårdens IF in January 2023. A €20 m transfer brought him to Tottenham in January 2024, where he has accumulated 80 appearances across all competitions. After a summer in which he requested a transfer and managed only 45 Premier League minutes, conversations with manager Roberto De Zerbi convinced him to stay and sign the new long‑term deal.
With a contract running to 2031, Tottenham now controls any future negotiation and Bergvall can concentrate on earning regular first‑team minutes.
