What we know
Napoli are circling Tottenham’s Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall, whose contract runs to June 2031, as they scout a potential summer 2027 midfield reshuffle. Gianluca Di Marzio first reported Napoli’s interest on 29 June, noting Tottenham have rebuffed a €40 m bid after turning down a €50 m offer from Nottingham Forest.
TuttoMercatoWeb echoed the same narrative, adding that Napoli could knock on Spurs’ door if the Swede lacks playing time. The story gathered momentum on 26 October, when two MSN pieces and Settecalcio said Napoli are monitoring Bergvall amid limited minutes, while TopMercato on 28 October highlighted both Napoli and Juventus as admirers, with Juventus eyeing a January loan. Sport Witness and Football Place both ran pieces on 1 November, stressing that Napoli’s interest remains at an early stage.
Football Place says no formal offer has materialised yet.
