What we know
Liverpool are tracking Rayan Cherki, whose contract at Manchester City runs to 2030, and would move for him if City are forced to sell because of a looming FFP case. PSG are reported as the main rival, while Real Madrid and Chelsea are also mentioned.
The first signal came on 30 Sep when TEAMtalk said Liverpool had met Cherki before his City move and would revive interest if a forced sale occurs. On 6 Oct three outlets – TEAMtalk, CaughtOffside and Yahoo Sports – reported PSG ready to rival Liverpool; Yahoo added that no formal offer has been made. The False 9 on 7 Oct wrote that only a “substantial” bid would be entertained. Yahoo’s “no offer” note and the conditional nature of the City sanctions leave the timing and price unresolved.
No club has lodged a bid, per Yahoo Sports.
