What we know
Villarreal are exploring a January move for Charleroi centre‑back Cheick Keita, whose contract runs to June 2027. Africafoot reported on 26 Oct that the Spanish club, the La Liga side, has contacted Keita’s entourage and is ready to table a €4 m bid.
VoetbalFocus and four other Belgian outlets repeated the story the same day, all crediting Africafoot; the Belgian press agrees contact has been made and a January offer around €4 m is planned. footnews.be goes further, describing the talks as negotiations, while Africafoot and Dorsal16 both note that no formal offer has been submitted yet. Thus the only concrete gap left is the official bid, which Africafoot says has not arrived per Africafoot.
