What we know

Evidence ref: TL-5ACB

Real Betis are weighing a permanent move for Charleroi centre‑back Cheick Keita, whose contract runs to June 2027. Villarreal are also in the race, with a possible €4 m bid mentioned.

The interest centres on a permanent transfer rather than a loan. On 27 October La Razón, La Colina de Nervión and Todomercadoweb all reported the dual interest, each attributing the story to Ekrem Konur. La Razón simply notes the two clubs are tracking the defender. La Colina adds that Betis must decide before January as Villarreal prepares an offer around €4 m, while Todomercadoweb says Betis is merely monitoring Keita in case Natan leaves at season’s end.

No formal offer has arrived, per La Colina, and Betis is only following the situation, per Todomercadoweb.
