Yuito Suzuki is a Japanese attacking player operating for SC Freiburg. Born on 25 October 2001, he is listed as a second striker and is a Japan international.
Suzuki is used across multiple attacking roles. He has featured as a left winger, advanced playmaker, right winger and second striker in different formations. Agility and quick footwork help him operate in tight spaces, and he can use both feet in dribbling. His game combines goalscoring with chance creation, with playmaking and finishing both evident in Freiburg’s attacking actions. Adaptation to the higher physical intensity of the Bundesliga remains an ongoing demand.
Suzuki moved from Funabashi Municipal High School to Shimizu S-Pulse in January 2020 and began his professional career ahead of the 2020 season. He went to RC Strasbourg Alsace on loan in January 2023 and returned to Shimizu S-Pulse in June 2023. In November 2023 he joined Bröndby IF for a fee of €600k. He transferred to SC Freiburg in January 2025 for a fee of €10m. At Freiburg he scored nine goals and provided seven assists last season and has begun the following campaign with four goals in four Bundesliga appearances.
No release clause is reported in the available material. Suzuki is presented as a central attacking option for Freiburg and has been used regularly in the starting line-up.
Tottenham Hotspur are tracking SC Freiburg second striker Yuito Suzuki. According to fussball-news.de, Spurs and AC Milan are preparing proposals around €35m, though the German side wants up to €45m.
