Yann Bisseck

Executive Summary

Yann Aurel Ludger Bisseck, born on 29 November 2000, is a right‑footed centre‑back standing 196 cm tall who now anchors Inter Milan’s back three. He arrived at the Nerazzurri in December 2023 for a reported €7.2 million and is contracted until 30 June 2031.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

Bisseck blends a bullish, aggressive approach to aerial and ground duels with an unexpected composure when the ball arrives at his feet. His reading of play lets him step out of the three‑man line and launch vertical passes, a trait that dovetails with Simone Inzaghi’s high‑line system. He rarely loses foot speed despite his frame, making him reliable in one‑on‑one situations and in collective defensive actions.

Career and Recent Context

A product of the FC Köln academy, he became the club’s youngest ever first‑team player with a Bundesliga debut at 16. Limited minutes triggered a series of moves: Holstein Kiel, Roda JC Kerkrade, Vitória Guimarães and two spells at Aarhus GF. The Danish spell turned permanent in January 2022 for €1.7 million, where regular first‑team football sharpened his ball‑playing ability. His performances there earned the transfer to Inter, where he has settled into the right‑side centre‑back role and featured regularly in Serie A and Champions League matches during the 2024‑25 campaign.

Transfers and Outlook

Inter’s hierarchy treats him as a long‑term pillar of the defence; no public release clause has been disclosed. Press links to several Premier League clubs have surfaced, yet no concrete bids have materialised, leaving the club positioned to build around him for the foreseeable future.
