Tommy Simkin

Executive Summary

Tommy James Simkin, born on 8 December 2004, is a right‑footed goalkeeper on a season‑long loan at Doncaster Rovers from Stoke City. His contract with the parent club runs until 31 May 2027.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

At 190 cm he dominates the aerial zone and uses his right foot to start quick transitions. Regular minutes in the Championship, League One and League Two have sharpened his shot‑stopping reflexes and improved his decision‑making under pressure.

Career and Recent Context

Subsequent loans took him to Solihull Moors, Forest Green Rovers and Walsall, where he made 47 appearances during the Saddlers’ 2024‑25 League Two play‑off run. A half‑season at Leyton Orient followed, but Stoke recalled him in January 2026 and sent him straight to Doncaster for the remainder of the campaign.

Transfers and Outlook

Consistent performances in League One could position him for a permanent step up, either back at Stoke City or with a Championship club seeking a developing, reliable goalkeeper.
