Ricardo Horta

Executive Summary

Ricardo Horta is the primary attacking midfielder for SC Braga. Born on 15 September 1994, he continues as a veteran presence in Liga Portugal. He is currently leading the line during the 2026/2027 campaign.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

Horta moves between the left wing and central attacking midfield roles. His low center of gravity at 173 cm allows him to dribble through tight defensive blocks. He relies on his right foot to create chances and find de-structive passes in the final third. While he lacks elite explosive speed, his game reading and technical floor keep him effective in high-pressure tactical setups.

Career and Recent Context

He began his journey in the Benfica youth system before finding time at Vitória Setúbal. Since the start of the 2026/2027 season, he found the back of the net twice in his early summer appearances. His performance ratings remain high relative to other wingers in the league.

Transfers and Outlook

Horta is under contract with Braga until June 2028, which provides the club with security in future negotiations. No specific release clause is documented in the current records.
