Michele Di Gregorio is a professional Italian goalkeeper currently playing for AFC Bournemouth. Born on 27 July 1997, he transitioned to the Premier League in August 2026. He joined the south side for a fee of €1.3 million. His current agreement with the English club expires in June 2027.
Di Gregorio functions as a modern sweeper-keeper who is comfortable initiating play from the back. His performances at Monza demonstrated a strong passing range and reliable shot-stopping metrics. He reads the game effectively, often cutting out through-balls before they reach the strikers. He needs to work on his command of the six-yard box during high crosses where he occasionally hesitates. His right-footed distribution is clean over short and medium distances.
The goalkeeper progressed through the Inter Milan youth ranks before a formative loan at Renate in 2017, where he recorded 14 clean sheets in 38 matches. He became a fixture for the team, leading to a move to Inter in 2022 and a subsequent transfer to Juventus. After the permanent transfer clause was triggered in 2025, he sought regular football which led him to Bournemouth.
The switch to Bournemouth allows him to pursue a starting role in a league that rewards proactive goalkeeping. If he replicates the form that made him reliable in Serie A, he could become a long-term asset. He remains under contract until the summer of 2027.
