Lewis Hall

Executive Summary

Lewis Kieran Hall, born on 8 September 2004, is a left‑footed left‑back who now plays for Newcastle United. He signed a new long‑term contract on 11 September 2026 that runs until 30 June 2031.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

His stamina lets him cover the flank for the full match, and his reading of play helps him intercept passes early. A recent injury that kept him out of the 2024‑25 Carabao Cup final highlights a need for greater durability.

Career and Recent Context

He rose through the academy at Chelsea before breaking into the first team in early 2023. A move to Newcastle in August 2023 made him a regular starter, and by September 2026 he had made 107 appearances, featuring in every round of the club’s successful Carabao Cup campaign that delivered the first domestic trophy in 70 years.

Transfers and Outlook

Manchester United pursued Hall throughout the summer, but Newcastle rejected all approaches and indicated they would only entertain an extraordinary offer. The new contract signals his commitment to St James’ Park, yet his earlier desire to leave keeps a future move plausible if United renew interest next summer.
