Kristoffer Askildsen is a central midfielder currently performing for Viking FK. Born on 9 January 2001, the Norwegian international is a key figure in the Eliteserien. He occupies a physical role in the middle of the pitch.
Standing at 190 cm, the midfielder provides an aerial presence rarely seen in central roles. He began his career as a goalkeeper. This background likely shaped his spatial awareness, and he is right-footed and versatile enough to operate across central or wide positions. His recent output shows a genuine goal threat, with five goals and two assists recorded so far this season.
His path started at the Stabæk academy before breaking into the senior team in 2018. He moved to UC Sampdoria for €2.5m in 2020, followed by a spell at Stabæk and a loan at US Lecce. After joining FC Midtjylland in 2024, he returned to Norway with Viking in 2025 for €350k. He has made 27 appearances for the club this campaign.
Askildsen remains under contract with Viking until 31 December 2028.
