Juan Manuel Rengifo

Executive Summary

Juan Manuel Rengifo is the creative engine driving the midfield for Atlético Nacional. Born on 2 April 2005, the Colombian playmaker has moved quickly through the senior ranks recently. He currently functions as a primary focal point in their attacking transitions.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

He operates as an attacking midfielder who thrives on finding pockets between the opposition lines. His left foot is his primary tool, used for both sharp distribution and direct shooting. While his dribbling is effective, his height of 173 cm suggests he might struggle against more physical defensive duels. Defensive work remains an area requiring further development at this professional level.

Career and Recent Context

The promotion from the U20 squad to the Nacional first team in January 2025 accelerated his trajectory. He has since established himself as a regular presence in the squad.

Market Projection and Transfers

SC Braga has emerged as a suitor with reports suggesting interest around seven million dollars. Atlético Nacional is reportedly holding out, valuing him between 12 million and 15 million euros while preferring to keep 20% of his future rights. His current contract secures his stay until December 2028.
