João Félix

Executive Summary

João Félix Sequeira, born on 10 November 1999, operates primarily as a second striker for Al-Nassr FC. The Portuguese attacker currently finds himself at the peak of his domestic powers after securing a prominent league title and individual recognition in Saudi Arabia.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

Operating chiefly as a second striker, the right-footed forward relies on clever movement between the lines to unpick stubborn defensive blocks. His natural game thrives when given the tactical freedom to roam off a focal point, allowing him to link midfield and attack with fluid passing and sharp combinations. Defenses struggle to track his drifting runs, and his technical execution under pressure enables Al-Nassr to accelerate the tempo in the final third.

Career and Recent Context

His development path began through various Portuguese youth setups, notably progressing from Pestinhas Formação and FC Porto academies to SL Benfica, where he burst into senior football before a €127.2m switch to Atlético de Madrid in March 2019. Stints at Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, and AC Milan followed during a turbulent European tour that failed to cement a permanent home. A transfer to Al-Nassr FC in July 2025 for a fee of €35m provided the tactical clarity he lacked, resulting in a stellar haul of goals and assists that propelled the club to domestic glory.
