Jason Knight serves as the engine room for Bristol City. Born on 13 February 2001, the Irish international operates primarily in the central midfield. He is currently a focal point of their tactical structure.
Knight thrives in both the central and attacking midfield roles. Standing at 177 cm, he prioritizes technical proficiency and tactical intelligence over raw physical dominance. His ability to read the game allows him to find pockets in congested midlines. Developing a more robust presence would help him handle elite-tier duels effectively.
After breaking into the first team in 2019, he joined Bristol City in November 2023 for a fee of €2.3m. Since that transfer, he has evolved into a consistent performer and a leader, having captained every age group at the club.
Knight is under contract until 30 June 2027, giving Bristol City significant leverage in any negotiations. While higher-tier clubs monitor his progress, a substantial fee would be required to secure his signature.
Jason Knight, a central midfielder for Bristol City, is reportedly attracting attention from Celtic FC. His contract runs to 30 June 2027.
