Centre-BackSpain17 years oldPlays for Girona FC
Holmes Zamorano is a Spanish centre-back currently playing for Girona FC. He was born on 8 August 2009. He recently integrated into the first-team environment, representing a significant homegrown talent at the Montilivi stadium.
The defender began his development as a midfielder, which accounts for his technical comfort in possession. Standing at 185 cm, he possesses the necessary physical build but prioritizes distribution. Quique Álvarez frequently pairs him with Alejandro Francés to initiate attacks from the back. His game reading allows him to intercept passes passes without constantly needing to slide.
He moved from the Real Madrid CF youth academy to Gimnàstic de Tarragona in January 2024. He joined the Girona U18 side in 2025 before his promotion to the senior squad in January 2026. His professional debut occurred against Leganés during the preseason. This rise happened while Girona faced defensive vacancies and budget limits.
His value reached €5,000,000 in September 2026. He remains under contract until June 2029. This long-term deal provides the club with leverage during negotiations. No release clause is publicly documented.
Brighton & Hove Albion are considering a move for Girona centre-back Holmes Zamorano. The Spanish defender has a contract with his club running until 2029.
