Fran Topić, born on 20 March 2004 in Zagreb, is a left-footed right winger who can also operate through the middle. He returned to GNK Dinamo Zagreb in July 2025 on a contract running until June 2029 after a season-long loan at Zrinjski Mostar. The 2026/27 campaign has so far seen him used sparingly by the Croatian champions, with most of his minutes coming from the bench in the HNL and a pair of full 90-minute outings for the Croatia U21 side in September.
Topić’s frame — 188 cm and left-footed on the right flank — gives him an unusual profile: he can drive inside onto his stronger foot and finish, a trait backed by the 20 goals he netted for the youth league winners in 2022/23. Game data and the EA FC 27 profile both highlight pace and dribbling as his clearest assets, while defending and passing remain work in progress. His physicality rating sits at a modest 60, suggesting he still needs to impose his size more consistently in senior duels. At Zrinjski he showed he can handle regular first-team football; the challenge now is translating that into sustained impact at a club where rotation is tight and European minutes are precious.
Topić climbed through the Sesvete academy before Dinamo snapped him up in August 2022. A youth-league top-scorer crown earned him a senior debut in April 2023, yet the following 18 months brought two loans — first to Rudeš in the HNL, then to Zrinjski in the Bosnian Premier League — where he accumulated the bulk of his professional minutes. Since rejoining Dinamo in summer 2025 he has featured in nine competitive matches, totalling 196 minutes, and picked up a yellow card in the loss at Osijek. Parallel U21 starts against Ukraine and Hungary indicate the national setup still views him as a regular, even if his club role remains peripheral.
The long-term deal signed in 2025 signals the club’s belief in his ceiling, but the current pecking order leaves little room for a breakthrough without injuries or a tactical shift. No concrete transfer rumours have surfaced in the Croatian or Bosnian press; the most likely next step is another loan in January or next summer if his playing time does not increase. A move to a mid-table HNL side or a return to Bosnia would guarantee minutes, while staying put tests whether he can force his way into the rotation.
Al-Wahda FC are weighing a move for Dinamo Zagreb right winger Fran Topic. The Croatian international currently has a contract that runs until June 2029.
