Eze Onuoha

Executive Summary

Gospel Chibueze Junior Onuoha, known as Eze Onuoha, is a 17‑year‑old right‑footed central midfielder. He currently lines up for SJK Seinäjoki in Finland’s Veikkausliiga.

Onuoha has already clocked 1 338 minutes this season, netting two goals and supplying an assist.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

Onuoha operates mainly in the middle of the park, often dropping deep to link play. He shows a good sense of positioning, reading the game and finding pockets of space. His dribbling is competent; he can keep possession under pressure and deliver accurate short passes. Defensively, he wins a fair share of duels and makes timely interceptions, but his tackle success rate could improve. The young midfielder’s shot accuracy is respectable for his age, and he has a knack for arriving late in the box, which explains his goal tally. Areas to sharpen: aerial presence, long‑range passing, and reducing the number of yellow cards (five in 2026).

Career and Recent Context

Raised in Malmi, Helsinki, Onuoha progressed through Malmin Palloseura’s youth ranks before moving to Honka in 2021. He debuted for Honka’s senior side in 2024 in Kakkonen, the third tier of Finnish football. In August 2025, he joined SJK’s academy, and by the 2026 Veikkausliiga season he earned a first‑team spot. His recent performances include a 2‑1 win over IFK Mariehamn (rating 6.3) and a 3‑0 victory against HJK (rating 7.7). The 2026 season has seen him play every minute of the league’s first 15 matches, signalling trust from the coaching staff.

Transfers and Outlook

Rumours of interest from clubs abroad have surfaced, with a few European teams reportedly monitoring his progress. No concrete offers have materialised, and his current release clause is not publicly disclosed. Given his age, consistent minutes, and goal contribution, a move to a higher‑profile league could be realistic within the next two seasons. SJK’s management appears keen to develop him further, but a transfer could bring a modest profit for the club.
