Endrick

Executive Summary

Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa operates as a centre-forward for Real Madrid. Born on 21 July 2006, the Brazilian international currently finds himself fighting for regular minutes at the Santiago Bernabéu under head coach José Mourinho following a summer of intense transfer speculation.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

Standing at 172 cm with a left-footed preference, the young forward provides a natural attacking threat on the flank as well as through the middle. José Mourinho plans to utilise his versatility on the right side of the attack to balance an otherwise left-heavy frontline, while also deploying him as the primary backup to Kylian Mbappé in central areas.

Career and Recent Context

The Brazilian's path to the Spanish capital began in the youth ranks of SE Palmeiras, progressing from their under-17 side to the under-20s in August 2021 before making the step up to the senior Palmeiras squad in January 2023. Real Madrid secured his signature for €47.5m in July 2024, bringing him to Europe after his initial emergence in South American football. Following a period adjusting to Spanish football, he spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Olympique Lyon, where he contributed eight goals and five assists across 21 appearances before returning to Madrid.

Transfers and Outlook

Aston Villa and AS Roma monitored his situation closely during the recent transfer window alongside other European suitors, but internal talks at Valdebebas resulted in a decision to halt a potential loan move. His contract runs until 30 June 2030, though club and player have agreed to review his playing time and future prospects when the transfer window opens in January.
