Elmin Rastoder is a North Macedonia centre-forward now leading the line for Panathinaikos. Born on 7 October 2001 in Wetzikon, Switzerland, he arrived in Greece after a breakthrough spell in Switzerland. The move followed a season where he helped FC Thun secure promotion and then a historic Super League title.
At 191 cm, Rastoder brings a commanding physical presence in the box. He operates as a classic target man, using his frame to pin defenders and win aerial duels. His right-footed finishing is clinical on crosses and cutbacks. Link-up play outside the penalty area remains a work in progress.
Rastoder joined Grasshopper Club Zürich's academy in 2017 and struck 13 goals in 26 games for their U21 side during 2021–22. Loans to FC Vaduz brought 12 goals in 44 appearances across two spells, including a Europa Conference League strike. A permanent switch to Thun in summer 2024 sparked his best form: he fired the club to the Challenge League crown and played a decisive role in their maiden Super League triumph.
Panathinaikos secured his signature in January 2026 for €3.5 million on a deal running to June 2030. The outlay and contract length signal he is viewed as a long-term attacking pillar for the Greens.
