Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Executive Summary

Dominic Nathaniel Calvert‑Lewin, born on 16 March 1997, operates as a centre‑forward for Leeds United. He joined the club on a free transfer in August 2025 and is contracted until 30 June 2028.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

At 189 cm and right‑footed, he wins a high proportion of aerial duels and uses his frame to hold up play while drifting into the channels. His link‑up work is sharper than many observers expect, and he thrives in a system that asks forwards to press high and absorb contact. The only lingering concern is his ability to stay fully fit across an entire campaign.

Career and Recent Context

After nine seasons on Merseyside he moved to Leeds in 2025 and immediately hit form, netting 15 league goals in his first full season and adding four more in the opening weeks of the current campaign. A six‑match scoring streak in late 2025 earned a surprise England recall under Thomas Tuchel in March 2026, ending a five‑year international absence, and he has since forged a potent partnership with Noah Okafor in a physical, direct set‑up.

Transfers and Outlook

Manchester United were linked before his arrival, but Leeds have made clear they intend to keep the striker as a centrepiece of their project.
