Désiré Doué

Executive Summary

Désiré Doué, born on 2005-06-03, is a right‑winger for Paris Saint‑Germain. His contract runs until 2029-06-30. The 181 cm, right‑footed Frenchman has already lifted a Champions League trophy and a domestic treble, and he featured prominently for France at the 2026 World Cup.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

Doué blends explosive acceleration with tight‑space dribbling; a solo burst against Belgium saw him beat three defenders before his powerful shot struck the bar. He frequently cuts inside, creating overloads, yet he also contributes defensively, making several notable recovery runs. His composure in big matches was evident in the 2025 Champions League final, where he delivered two goals and an assist.

Career and Recent Context

Progressing through every Rennes youth level, Doué debuted for the senior side in 2022. After two seasons in Ligue 1, he transferred to Paris Saint‑Germain in August 2024 for €50 million. He quickly became a starter, helping the club secure a domestic treble and the Champions League title in 2025. Internationally, he earned regular senior call‑ups from 2025 onward and played a key role in France’s run to the semi‑finals of the 2026 World Cup.

Transfers and Outlook

With a contract through 2029, PSG retains full control over his future. Despite being omitted from the 2026 Ballon d’Or shortlist, his Golden Boy award and consistent performances keep him on the radar of top clubs should the Parisian side consider a sale. His trajectory suggests he will remain a central figure for both club and country.
