Daniel Jebbison

Executive Summary

Daniel David Jebbison, born on 13 August 2003, is a Canadian centre-forward who plays for AFC Bournemouth. Standing at 190 cm and right-footed, he operates as a mobile target man. He is currently competing for a place in the first team, though his early appearances in the 2026/27 season have been limited to short substitute cameos.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

He drops into pockets to link play and uses his body to shield the ball under pressure. Former Bournemouth midfielder Mark Molesley describes him as a "great profile" and a "mobile target" who fits the modern demand for a forward who can run and hold up play. His Championship loan spells showed intelligent movement and hold-up strength, but his finishing remains a work in progress. In the Premier League this season, he has taken only one shot, which went off target, and has yet to score.

Career and Recent Context

Jebbison was born in Oakville, Ontario, and began his career at ANB Futbol before moving to England in 2017. After a loan spell at Burton Albion in 2021, he returned to Sheffield United and later moved to Bournemouth on a free transfer in 2024. A hamstring injury in 2023/24 disrupted his progress, but he recovered to spend time on loan at Watford and Preston. He was recalled by Bournemouth in June 2026. In the current campaign, he has featured briefly against Manchester City, Liverpool, and Newcastle, logging minimal minutes as a substitute.

Transfers and Outlook

Jebbison is under contract with AFC Bournemouth until 30 June 2028. He joined the club on a free transfer in 2024 and has since been sent on loan twice to gain Championship experience. His international future lies with Canada, having switched allegiance from England in 2025, and he is in contention for their CONCACAF Nations League squad. His ability to secure regular minutes will determine whether he establishes himself at Bournemouth or faces another loan move.
