Callum Wilson

Executive Summary

Callum Eddie Graham Wilson, born on 27 February 1992, lines up as a centre‑forward for Brentford FC on a deal that runs to 30 June 2027. A pre‑season goal against Rennes showed he can still finish, yet league action this term has been limited to four substitute appearances totalling eighteen minutes. The striker remains a proven Premier League scorer, now operating as a squad option.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

Sharp right‑footed finishing and well‑timed runs define his game; he reads defensive lines and creates space for teammates. At 180 cm he offers a decent aerial threat, evident when he attacked crosses in the friendly at Roazhon Park. A recent run of calf, thigh and back injuries has disrupted rhythm and match sharpness.

Career and Recent Context

A €3.7 million move to AFC Bournemouth in 2014 launched his top‑flight career, followed by a €22.2 million switch to Newcastle United in 2020. A short stint at West Ham began in February 2025, then a September 2026 transfer brought him to Brentford where he now competes for limited minutes.

Transfers and Outlook

His contract expires in summer 2027 and no public release clause has been reported. Whether he secures a larger role or attracts another club seeking an experienced forward will shape the next move.
