Bremer

Executive Summary

Gleison Bremer Silva Nascimento, born on 18 March 1997, operates as a right‑footed centre‑back for Juventus, where his contract expires on 30 June 2029. In the early weeks of the 2025‑26 season he has already logged seven appearances, 630 minutes on the pitch and two goals, confirming his status as a first‑choice starter.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

Bremer blends raw physical power with an acute positional sense that lets him read danger before it materialises. His tackling is clean and well‑timed, while his aerial ability makes him a constant threat on set‑pieces — he has netted 13 goals across three full Italian campaigns, 11 of them in Serie A, a record for a central defender over that span. Last season he topped Europe’s top five leagues for interceptions (105) and possession recoveries (284), won 217 duels and claimed 132 aerial challenges, numbers that underline his dominance in one‑on‑one situations. After a heavy loss to Lazio he stressed that the players must own the execution of the coach’s instructions, a remark that highlights his leadership on the field.

Career and Recent Context

A €5.8 million move took him to Torino FC in October 2018; over 110 appearances he earned the Lega Serie A Best Defender award for 2021‑22. Juventus secured his services in July 2022 for €51.3 million, and he has since become the defensive anchor the side relies on for both solidity and occasional goal contributions.

Transfers and Outlook

His contract runs until 2029, giving Juventus considerable leverage in any future negotiation.
