Bilal El Khannouss is a creative attacking midfielder currently at VfB Stuttgart. He was born on 10 May 2004. The Moroccan international has become a vital part of the German side, currently navigating his debut season in the Champions League.
He operates as a gifted technician who thrives by finding pockets in the final third. Standing at 180 cm, he uses his balance to navigate through tight pressing situations. His right foot is his primary tool. It delivers both line-breaking passes and direct shooting. While his vision is elite, he needs to improve his defensive work rate to remain effective against high-intensity transitions.
El Khannouss began his journey with RSC Anderlecht youth before moving to KRC Genk in 2019. He broke into the Genk first team in 2022 for €100k, which eventually earned a move to Leicester City in 2024 for €22.5m. After a successful loan spell at Stuttgart in 2025, the move became permanent in January 2026 for a €15m fee.
Several Premier League clubs like Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Palace have shown interest. Stuttgart reportedly demands a fee above €40m to consider a sale. He is currently tied to a contract until June 2030.
Getafe CF is exploring a move for Bilal El Khannouss, according to Morocco World News (7 Oct). The outlet, citing WinWin, says the Spanish side is monitoring the attacking midfielder as a potential signing.
