Andy Diouf

Executive Summary

Andy Diouf is a French midfielder currently playing for Inter Milan. Born on 17 May 2003, he is navigating a significant tactical transformation in Italy. He has established himself as a key figure in the squad's current setup.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

While naturally a central midfielder, Diouf has transitioned into a highly effective right wing-back. He excels at ball-carrying, using his left-footed precision to progress the ball from deep. Despite his preference for the center of the pitch, his creative output from wide positions remains an asset.

Career and Recent Context

Diouf began his journey at Paris Saint-Germain before moving to AC Boulogne-Billancourt in 2015 and later Stade Rennais in 2018. He moved to FC Basel in 2022, then joined RC Lens in February 2023 for €14 million, before returning to Stade Rennais later that year. Inter signed him in August 2025 for €20 million, though he initially found minutes limited by a midfield packed with stars like Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu. The current campaign saw him move to the flank under Cristian Chivu, where his performance skyrocketed. He has already recorded two assists in Serie A and completed a 90-minute stint in the Champions League against Real Madrid. This surge led to his inclusion in the preliminary France squad under Zinedine Zidane.

Transfers and Outlook

He is under contract at Milan until June 2030, providing the club with leverage. No official release clause is documented, though his trajectory suggests continued upward mobility.
