Andrei Șucu

Executive Summary

Andrei Petru Cristian Șucu, born 26 December 2008 in Bucharest, is an attacking midfielder coming through the Rapid București academy. He stepped up to the U18 side in January 2024 and has already tasted senior football in the 2026/27 Superliga campaign. Four substitute appearances and a goal in his first minute against Argeș Pitești show the club trusts him in matchday squads. The profile remains raw but the early exposure is a clear signal of intent.

Playing Style and Key Attributes

Game data and the EA FC 27 rating set point to a player who relies on acceleration and close control rather than physical dominance. Pace and dribbling are the best numbers, while shooting and defensive contribution lag behind. He operates best in the half-spaces, linking midfield to attack with quick combinations. The next step is adding end product and learning to survive without the ball.

Career and Recent Context

Rapid promoted him from the youth ranks to the U18 group at the start of 2024, a standard progression for a Bucharest native. The 2026/27 season brought his first senior minutes: 46 minutes spread across nine matchdays, mostly late cameos. His lone goal arrived in a one-minute cameo against Argeș, a poacher’s finish that hinted at opportunism. Regular U18 football continues alongside the sporadic first-team call-ups.

Transfers and Outlook

No release clause or contract expiry has surfaced publicly, and no concrete transfer rumours have emerged beyond the usual academy monitoring. Rapid’s history of selling home-grown talent means a strong second half of the season could attract Liga I rivals or foreign scouts. For now the focus stays on converting substitute cameos into starts and rounding out the statistical profile.
