What we know
Newcastle United, alongside Arsenal and Everton, has reportedly enquired about Granada winger Owen Emeka. His contract with Granada CF runs to 2031, and, the reporting outlets cite a €15m release clause.
The inquiries arrive as some sources claim the winger is expected to renew his contract with Granada. The story surfaced on 2 Oct, when Soccernet.ng and Radio Marca reported the initial interest. On 3 Oct, four outlets, including CaughtOffside and Sport Witness, carried the news that the three clubs had enquired, with FootballTransfers adding that Emeka is set to renew. The sources leave the move in an inquiry phase. Multiple outlets, including the4thofficial.net, explicitly state that no formal offers have been made yet.
Whether the interest translates into a bid depends on Granada's plans, which FootballTransfers reports remain focused on a renewal.
