What we know
Barcelona explored a summer move for Tresoldi, whose Brugge contract runs to 2029. AS reported on 20 Aug that he was a Plan B to Julián Álvarez, proposed by Hansi Flick.
By 31 Aug, AS and Fichajes.net (citing Florian Plettenberg) said Brugge's €50m asking price blocked the move. Yahoo Sports (1 Sep, also citing Plettenberg) wrote that Barcelona had pulled the plug. The pursuit ended when Sport reported the club "opted not to advance the negotiations". The story developed in stages. 20 Aug: AS first linked him as an Álvarez alternative. 31 Aug: AS and Fichajes.net converged on the €50m obstacle. 1 Sep: Yahoo Sports declared the chase over.
