His contract at Union Saint-Gilloise runs to June 2030, which gives the club long-term control over his future. The story broke on 2 November, with Goal, Milan Reports, and voetbalbelgie.be all reporting the same development. Goal’s French, Turkish, and English-language versions each identified Sylla as a January target for Milan, while Milan Reports cited Fabrizio Romano as the source of the monitoring claim.

Voetbalbelgie.be attributed the interest to Matteo Moretto, noting Milan’s close watch on the Senegalese defender.
