What we know
Manchester United are reported to be monitoring Como centre-back Jacobo Ramón, with Football Italia and TuttoMercatoWeb noting that Arsenal and Chelsea are also tracking his development. His listed contract runs to 2030.
The narrative began on 28 Oct, when The Peoples Person, citing TuttoMercatoWeb, said United were monitoring the defender while noting Real Madrid holds a buy-back clause for 2027. On 29 Oct, three outlets expanded this: Fichajes.net stated Arsenal and United are willing to pay up to €50m, and The Peoples Person, citing Madrid Zone, claimed Real Madrid has decided to activate that clause, potentially blocking United’s interest. CaughtOffside, citing the Daily Mail, added on 30 Oct that United may target Ramón as a replacement for Lisandro Martínez. On 31 Oct, Football Italia and TuttoMercatoWeb, the latter citing Gazzetta.it, confirmed the continued interest from multiple Premier League clubs.
Fichajes.net puts the potential fee at €50m and notes Real Madrid’s buy-back clause; The Peoples Person says Madrid have decided to activate it for 2027.
