Reports describe the move as a potential free‑transfer rather than a loan or fee‑based deal. The story unfolded on 24 Sep, when Football Italia reported Juventus could reignite pursuit while talks were on hold, a claim echoed by Yahoo Sports and Yardbarker.
Tuttosport said Juventus had contacted the goalkeeper’s representatives about a free‑transfer scenario. The next day CaughtOffside repeated the free‑agent angle, citing Tuttosport.
